David Allen

PRINCIPAL

David Allen is the founding principal of Trestle and specializes in the acquisition, financing and development of urban multifamily properties.

David is dedicated to creating solutions that allow people to live in inclusive communities and is at the forefront of innovative methods to deliver affordable urban housing. David’s specialties include micro units, co-living and various financing structures involving government subsidies and tax credits.

Prior to founding Trestle in 2013, David worked in the public sector as a Director for the San Diego Housing Commission’s development affiliate, HDP. In his role, he managed all stages of the housing development process, including negotiating transactions, securing entitlements, financing and overseeing construction. 

David began his career in multifamily housing in 2006 as a project manager in the Seattle office of Vitus Group, a national leader in affordable housing finance and preservation. 

David lives in Spokane, WA with his wife, Emily, and their three daughters. He holds a bachelor’s degree in finance from Western Washington University. Connect with David

Rob Morgan

Principal

Rob Morgan is a principal of Trestle, with extensive experience in acquisitions, capital markets, and project management of institutional and non-institutional multifamily and mixed-use development projects throughout the Western U.S.

Prior to joining Trestle in 2019, Rob was a Senior Vice President and Regional Development Partner for JPI one of the largest multifamily developers in the country.  At JPI he managed site acquisition, entitlements, and capital market efforts for the Western Region which comprised over $300 million in annual development volume.  Prior to this, Rob worked as a Development Manager for ConAm, a regional operator, developer, and property manager of multifamily communities where he focused on all aspects of the development process with projects in Portland, Seattle, and Southern California.  Since 2011, Rob has also focused on small-scale multifamily developments for his own account via Canvas Ventures, LLC which has entitled and developed properties in Downtown San Diego and Solana Beach, California.

Rob began his career in multifamily housing in 2006 as a broker for Colliers International, a national real estate brokerage and advisory company, where he was a top producer focused on urban land, adaptive reuse, and investment properties.

With stints in Oklahoma City, Orange County, and Philadelphia Rob eventually settled in San Diego with his wife, Jessica, and their three children.  He holds a master’s in real estate development from USC and a bachelor’s degree in business administration and philosophy/theology from Point Loma Nazarene University.  Connect with Rob

Mirasol Perez

ASSET MANAGER | EXECUTIVE ASSISTANT

Mirasol Perez joined Trestle Development in 2018 and oversees asset management and office administration. Mirasol’s exceptional organization skills and outstanding customer service allow Trestle to execute big initiatives with purpose and finesse.

Prior to joining Trestle, Mirasol managed marketing and operations at two start-ups in Miami, Florida - one focusing on retail baked-goods and another focusing on an e-commerce solution for university textbooks. Mirasol holds a BS in Communications and Criminology from the University of Miami. 

 

Tony Mercuriali

Controller

Tony is the controller of Trestle and manages the daily operations of the accounting department, which includes developing policies and procedures to ensure proper internal controls and maintaining accurate and timely financial statements and owner reports.  He brings 15 years of finance, accounting, compliance, and reporting experience from various private companies.   

Prior to joining Trestle in 2022, Tony held finance and accounting roles at RPG, Far West Industries, Ambient Communities and Westview Real Estate.  He played essential roles in all aspects of accounting and reporting functions including residential and commercial sales, land entitlement, land development, vertical construction, commercial lending, underwriting, asset management, and investor relations. 

Tony lives in San Diego, CA with his wife, Nicole, and their two sons.  He holds both bachelor’s and master’s degrees in business administration from Point Loma Nazarene University.
